A Starplayer TV covered in a wild splash of creativity.

This custom Starplayer TV “Atelier” was envisioned and created by Nils. It answers the question what would happen if a guitar was literally a canvas for an artist.

This instrument is covered in acrylic paint splatters on the top and headstock making it completely unique. Much like a real painting, it was then covered in a rough but thin rattle can clear coat and polished afterwards. The result is a vivid finish with rich textures and a raw appeal. The back, sides and neck are stained in a transparent black which beautifully brings out the grain of the wood used.

The “Atelier” comes fitted with two of our versatile Split/King pickups, which deliver real humbucker and real singlecoil tones through a unique pickup construction. The control that is usually used as a tone control is used as a gradual pickup mode blend here. This allows you to seamlessly blend between humbucker and singlecoil use of the pickups. A traditional tone control was deemed unnecessary in this particularly creative project.
